How I Met Your Mother is a comedy about Ted (Josh Radnor) and how he fell in love. At that moment, Ted realizes that he had better get a move on if he too hopes to find true love. Helping him in his quest is Barney (Neil Patrick Harris), a friend with endless, sometimes outrageous opinions, a penchant for suits and a foolproof way to meet women. When Ted meets Robin (Cobie Smulders), he's sure it's love at first sight, but destiny may have something else in store. Phoebe Buffay - Brought up as a fatherless child, Phoebe is a ditzy yet loveable hippy, who has become a personal masseuse. Despite liking her profession, her dream is to become a star in the music industry and bases her songs on her life experiences. The other 5 friends secretly believe that Phoebe will never make it, but still encourage her to write. Phoebe often performs at the 'Central Perk' coffee house, and strongly believes in herself. Chandler Bing - A financially secure data processor, who relies on humor as a defense mechanism. Despite being rich, the other 5 have no idea what his profession is, and Chandler is a wimpy, average looking cigarette addict, who has never had a serious relationship. Will he ever get it, and is she just round the corner from him? Joey Tribiani - Despite being close to all the friends, he is especially open with Chandler, who his also his roommate. Joey is a small time actor, who desperately wants fame and fortune, and Chandler has high hopes of Joey, so helps Joey with money for acting lessons and professional photographs. Despite being a relatively bad actor, Joey is an adorable, sensitive guy, who is very successful with women, but needs to become famous and rich to complete his successful life. Προβλήθηκε και συνεχίζει να προβάλλεται ακόμα και σήμερα σε συνολικά πάνω από 100 χώρες. Συγκεκριμένα, το τελευταίο επεισόδιο το παρακολούθησαν 51 εκατομμύρια Αμερικάνοι τηλεθεατές. Κατά πολλούς υπήρξε η πιο επιτυχημένη κωμική σειρά όλων των εποχών. Η επιτυχία του σίριαλ, όπως υποστηρίζουν πολλοί, οφείλεται στο έξυπνο σενάριο αλλά και στη «χημεία» που ένωσε τους πρωταγωνιστές.

Και οι έξι είναι φίλοι που διάφορες περιστάσεις τους έφεραν μαζί και κάνουν πολύ στενή παρέα. Εκτός από τον Ρος και την Φοίβη, ζουν σε δύο διαμερίσματα που βρίσκονται το ένα απέναντι από το άλλο στον ίδιο διάδρομο μίας πολυκατοικίας στο κέντρο της Νέα Υόρκης. Συχνάζουν στο καφέ Central Perk και κάθονται πάντα γύρω από τον ίδιο καναπέ.

Όλη η σειρά περιστρέφεται γύρω από τις ζωές τους, τα καθημερινά προβλήματα που αντιμετωπίζουν στην εργασία τους και τις ερωτικές σχέσεις με τρίτα πρόσωπα ή και μεταξύ τους. Κάποιες από αυτές τις σχέσεις είναι μακροχρόνιες και άλλες επανέρχονται κατά διαστήματα. Επίσης, σπάνια στη σειρά βλέπουμε ή μαθαίνουμε για άλλους φίλους τους. The Big Bang Theory

Leonard Hofstadter and Sheldon Cooper are both brilliant physicists working at Caltech in Pasadena, California. They are colleagues, best friends, and roommates, although in all capacities their relationship is always tested primarily by Sheldon's regimented, deeply eccentric, and non-conventional ways. They are also friends with their Caltech colleagues mechanical engineer Howard Wolowitz and astrophysicist Rajesh Koothrappali. The foursome spend their time working on their individual work projects, playing video games, watching science-fiction movies, or reading comic books. As they are self-professed nerds, all have little or no luck with popular women. When Penny, a pretty woman and an aspiring actress originally from Omaha, moves into the apartment across the hall from Leonard and Sheldon's, Leonard has another aspiration in life, namely to get Penny to be his girlfriend.

Άνετη και μέσα σε όλα, εισβάλλει στη ζωή των δύο φίλων σαν κομήτης και τους αναστατώνει! Εκρηκτική, απρόβλεπτη, χωρίς ιδιαίτερη παιδεία αλλά με Phd στη μόδα και το clubbing. Two and a half men

The premise of the show centers around wealthy bachelor Charlie Harper, his brother Alan, and Alan's son Jake. Charlie is living the lifestyle of his choice, which means keeping odd hours and bedding lots of women, however his more uptight brother ends up having to stay with him in his home, kid included. The show explores the relationship between the brothers with totally different personalities and how they try to live their lives and at the same time help shape young Jake in their own special, positive ways.

The Harper brothers Charlie and Alan are almost opposites but form a great team. They have little in common except their dislike for their mundane, maternally cold and domineering mother, Evelyn. Alan, a compulsively neat chiropractor and control-freak, is thrown out by his manipulative wife Judith who nevertheless gets him to pay for everything and do most jobs in the house. Charlie is a freelance jingle composer and irresistible Cassanova who lives in a luxurious beach-house and rarely gets up before noon. Charlie "temporarily" allows Alan and his son Jake, a food-obsessed, lazy school kid who shuttles between his parents, to move in with them after Alan's separation/divorce. The sitcom revolves around their conflicting lifestyles, raising Jake (who has the efficient, caring dad while having a ball with his fun-loving sugar uncle who teaches him boyish things), and bantering with Evelyn and various other friends and family. Other fairly regular characters include Charlie's cleaning lady Berta and his rich, self-confessed stalker neighbor Rose who often sneaks in to spy on Charlie.After the death of his brother, Alan Harper meets and befriends a lonely young man named Walden Schmidt who turns out to be a billionaire. Unable to afford his brother's home, Alan sells Walden the house, and as a way of showing his gratitude, Walden allows Alan and his son Jake to move in with him.

The swinging-bachelor lifestyle of commercial-jingle composer -- and chronic gambler -- Charlie Harper was sorely disrupted when his Malibu beach house was invaded by his uptight brother, Alan , and Alan's ten-year-old son, Jake.Given the childish hedonism of Charlie and the domestic immaturity of the soon-to-be-divorced Alan, young Jake turned out to be the true "grown-up" in the Harper household. Also seen from time to time were Alan's ex-wife Judith ,Charlie's erstwhile lover and next-door neighbor Rose and Charlie's and Alan's control-freak mother, Evelyn.

The show was originally about a hedonistic jingle writer, Charlie Harper,his uptight brother, Alan; and Alan's growing son, Jake. Charlie's free-wheeling life is complicated when his brother gets divorced and moves, along with his son, into Charlie's beach-front Malibu house. The series' premise was revamped in the ninth season, focusing on Alan moving on with his life after the death of Charlie with help from his new best friend and housemate, Walden Schmidt , who is also dealing with his own troubles following a bad divorce. Alan, Walden, and Jake eventually bond, becoming close friends, forming a surrogate family unit.

Overview

The series revolved initially around the life of the Harper brothers: Charlie and Alan and Alan's son, Jake. Charlie is a bachelor who writes commercial jingles for a living while leading a hedonistic lifestyle. When Alan's wife Judith decides to divorce him, he moves into Charlie's Malibu beach house, with Jake periodically coming to stay. Charlie's housekeeper is Berta,a sharp-tongued woman who initially resists the change to the household but comes to grudgingly accept it.

The first five seasons find Charlie in casual sexual relationships with numerous women until the sixth season, when he becomes engaged to Chelsea.However, the relationship does not last when Charlie flies to Paris in the eighth season finale in pursuit of Rose,who was introduced as his stalker in the pilot episode. In the ninth season premiere, it is revealed that Charlie died when he fell in front of a subway train in Paris; it is strongly hinted that Rose allegedly pushes Charlie in front of the train after learning that Charlie had cheated on her.

Alan's experiences are somewhat different from Charlie's. Throughout the series, Alan continues to deal with the results of his divorce from Judith, Jake growing up, and his generally little success with women. Even his marriage to Kandi at the end of the third season was short-lived. In the fourth season, Alan is back at the beach house paying alimony to two women out of his meager earnings as a chiropractor. In the seventh season, he begins a relationship with Lyndsey McElroy, the mother of one of Jake's friends. Their relationship is temporarily suspended when Alan accidentally burns down her house and cheats on her, but the relationship eventually resumes.

In the ninth season premiere (after Charlie's death), the beach house is sold to Walden Schmidt,an Internet billionaire in the process of being divorced from his wife Bridget . Alan leaves to live with his conceited mother Evelyn when the house is sold, but Walden whole-heartedly invites both Alan and Jake back to live in the beach house, needing friends to help him deal with his marriage breakdown, therefore forming a tight-knit surrogate family.

At the end of the ninth season, Jake joined the army and only appears occasionally during season ten. In the tenth season Walden proposed to his English girlfriend Zoey only to be turned down after he found out there was another man, because of this he became depressed. Meanwhile, Alan gets engaged to his girlfriend Lyndsey, while Judith leaves her second husband Herb Melnick after being married since the fourth season, after he cheated on her with his receptionist.

The Stratford sisters, Kat and Bianca,have just moved from Ohio to California.
